Cambodian people living with HIV network (hereafter referred as to CPN+) is recognized as community network playing critical roles in mobilizing and empowering people living with HIV (PLHIV) community, advocacy and coordination with local authorities, NGO partners and government counterparts to ensure PLHIV issues/needs are addressed and their rights are protected and fulfilled since its establishment in mid-2001. CPN+’s vision is that Cambodians who are living with and are affected by HIV/AIDS continue to live in positive lives. Its missions are to strengthen the capacity and involvement of PLHIV and empower them with collective voice to create an enabling environment to reduce stigma and discrimination towards them, to protect their rights and to sustain their well-being.
In response to its vision and mission, CPN+ has implemented a wide range of activities to provide support to PLHIV community to ensure their regular access to necessary HIV , health and other social services, their meaningful participation and engagement in policy development, program design, implementation and monitoring as well as regular feedback through addressing barriers, empowering and building capacity of PLHIV community and individuals to exercise their human right to health care, to voice their issues, concerns and needs at national, regional and global level, and to seek for redressing their right abuse, as well as to protect women and girl from gender based violation.
